Dignity Curriculum
Small lessons with room for meaningful change
A practical starting collection
Four discussion based lessons for families, educators, and community facilitators. Allow about 15 to 20 minutes for each. Read aloud or adapt the wording to the learner’s age, communication style, and needs. Participation can include speaking, writing, drawing, listening, or passing.
01 · Recognize Dignity
Notice the person before the problem
Dignity is the starting point: every person deserves to be treated as someone whose voice, boundaries, learning, and future matter. A disagreement does not erase that worth.
Open this lesson02 · Voice and Agency
Practice speaking with clarity and respect
Agency means having meaningful choices and support to use them. A person can express a preference, ask a question, disagree, or request time without having to earn dignity first.
Open this lesson03 · Boundaries and Support
Learn that asking for help is a strength
A boundary communicates what feels acceptable and what support is needed. Respect includes listening to a refusal and making space for a person to seek help.
Open this lesson04 · Repair and Belonging
Turn reflection into a constructive next step
Repair begins with taking responsibility for a specific action and listening to its impact. It does not require anyone to accept an apology, restore contact, or give up a boundary.
